Everything you need to know

What is the AllMatters Menstrual Disc?

The AllMatters Disc is a reusable, body-safe menstrual product that sits at the base of the cervix to collect blood, rather than absorbing it. It’s designed for up to 12 hours of leak-free protection and holds more than traditional products.

What’s the difference between a disc and a cup?

The disc sits horizontally in the vaginal fornix, while the cup forms a vertical seal below the cervix. The disc can also be worn during sex and tends to feel less noticeable once inserted.

Is the disc safe?

Yes — it’s made from 100% medical-grade silicone and is manufactured in Germany. There’s no risk of irritation or dryness if used as recommended.

Cleaning & Care

How do I clean the disc between uses?

Rinse with cold water, then wash with mild soap (preferably pH-balanced, like our OrganiWash). Boil for 3–5 minutes between cycles or if switching users.

Can I pee while wearing it?

Yes! The disc is inserted into the vaginal canal and doesn’t block the urethra or affect urination.

How do I store it between periods?

Use the breathable cotton pouch it came with. Avoid airtight containers, as silicone needs to stay dry.

Using the Disc

How do I insert the disc?

Fold it in half and insert it at an upward angle toward the tailbone. Push it as far back as it will go, then tuck the front rim up behind your pubic bone.

How do I remove it?

Hook your finger under the front rim and gently pull down and out, keeping it level to avoid spills. Some prefer doing this in the shower.

Will it leak?

Not if positioned correctly. If you experience leaks, it may not be fully tucked behind the pubic bone or may be at capacity.

Can I wear it overnight?

Yes — up to 12 hours. It’s ideal for overnight use thanks to its large capacity.

Can I wear it during sex?

Yes, unlike cups, the disc can be worn during penetrative sex. It’s flexible and sits high enough to allow space.

Troubleshooting

The disc slips out — what am I doing wrong?

Make sure it’s tucked fully behind the pubic bone. If it still slips during movement or bowel pressure, it may not be the right fit for your anatomy.

There’s no blood in the disc when I remove it — why?

It might be positioned incorrectly or the cervix may be outside the rim. Try adjusting the angle or checking cervix height.

Is one size supposed to fit all?

Our disc is designed to fit most anatomies, but some users with very high or low cervixes may experience fit challenges. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out to us at support@allmatters.com
